Our client is a leading system integrator and innovator of electrical and automation systems in the maritime industry, providing customized solutions for complex Defense, Safety & Security ships and luxury yachts. The in-house services include project management, consultancy, system design, engineering, commissioning, installation, site management, training, and service support.


Responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing service or refit issues
  • Developing software for automation systems
  • Checking and maintaining the operation of automation systems in accordance with specifications
  • Documenting software and delivering its documentation
  • Processing certain software changes during the project and after delivery
  • Drawing up test protocols and preparing samples
  • Testing software (modifications) in (virtual) network environments
  • Supporting commissioning and service engineers and providing them with correct information


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in (industrial) automation or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience with PLC and SCADA systems
  • Experience with Allen Bradley is preferred, but experience with other systems such as Siemens is also welcome
  • Experience in (industrial) automation, with maritime experience as a plus
  • Knowledge of hardware components
  • Good understanding of automation, communication protocols, and network architectures
  • Willingness to travel, including onboard
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English, with Dutch as an advantage.
