Our client is a leading system integrator and innovator of electrical and automation systems in the maritime industry, providing customized solutions for complex Defense, Safety & Security ships and luxury yachts. The in-house services include project management, consultancy, system design, engineering, commissioning, installation, site management, training, and service support.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing service or refit issues
- Developing software for automation systems
- Checking and maintaining the operation of automation systems in accordance with specifications
- Documenting software and delivering its documentation
- Processing certain software changes during the project and after delivery
- Drawing up test protocols and preparing samples
- Testing software (modifications) in (virtual) network environments
- Supporting commissioning and service engineers and providing them with correct information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in (industrial) automation or related field
- At least 5 years of experience with PLC and SCADA systems
- Experience with Allen Bradley is preferred, but experience with other systems such as Siemens is also welcome
- Experience in (industrial) automation, with maritime experience as a plus
- Knowledge of hardware components
- Good understanding of automation, communication protocols, and network architectures
- Willingness to travel, including onboard
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English, with Dutch as an advantage.
