Simulation Software Tester

Are you a software tester or QA engineer looking to ensure quality in interactive, engaging, and exciting systems?
If so, VSTEP has the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic manual software tester to strengthen our team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating and ensuring the quality of our Maritime Training Simulator NAUTIS and NAUTIS Home.
As a Software Tester, your responsibilities will include:
Writing test specifications, executing tests, documenting results, and reporting issues.
Validating simulation software and simulators, including their hardware and integration components.
Advocating for quality in our products.
Participating in pre-FAT and SAT tests for large projects.
Creating robust test plans.
Acting as a liaison between different departments and stakeholders.
You will be part of our dedicated QA Team, which consists of QA Engineers and QA Automation Engineers and is an integral part of our development department.
Is this you?
You have:
- A background in quality assurance, software testing or a similar position.
- Solid experience with creating test plans and test reports.
- A good overall knowledge of PC hardware.
- Understanding of software architecture and software development.
- Experience with versioning software e.g. SVN or Git.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- An analytical thinking, problem-solving and flexible work attitude.
- Knowledge of scripting languages or creating automated test is a plus.
- Knowledge of the maritime industry is a plus.
- A Dutch working permit.
