Purpose of Position:
Responsible for implementation of shipping performance into BT&S Business, monitoring and analyzing the performance of vessels supporting the Maritime Division, Vessel Operations and Chartering teams to ensure that vessels operate efficiently, comply with environmental regulations, and achieve optimal level of operation comparing with industry standards. This role involves working closely with various teams to collect and interpret data, develop performance improvement strategies, and provide actionable insights to enhance vessel operations. |
Carry out:
- Support the integration of shipping performance practices into the BT&S business framework.
- Assist in aligning performance metrics with operational and commercial strategies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Research, assess and support the implementation of KPIs commonly used in the shipping industry – covering operational, environmental and efficiency, technical, and commercial aspects - based on business priorities and industry benchmarks.
- Support to the development of workflows for collecting and managing performance-related data.
- Develop and maintain databases and digital tools to monitor vessel performance.
- Prepare regular reports to support business leaders, traders, and technical teams in assessing fleet performance.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of performance data across systems and reports.
- Analyze vessel performance data—including fuel consumption, emissions, speed, voyage time utilization, earnings, and other key metrics—against technical specifications and operational baselines (e.g., Class-issued Technical Files), to evaluate performance across commercial, operational, technical, and environmental dimensions.
- Support benchmarking of fleet performance against international shipping KPIs and industry.
- Assist in identifying performance deviations and collaborate with Chartering, Operations and technical teams to investigate root causes.
- Stay informed on global emission regulations and standards, including CII, EEXI, EEDI, GHG Emissions, EEOI, AER, and others.
- Support compliance efforts by interpreting regulatory requirements and contributing to internal reporting.
- Identify and investigate deviations from expected performance, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Chartering, Operations and Technical teams to address technical issues impacting vessel performance.

Technical / Management Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in, Marine/Nautical/Naval Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in experience in shipping operations, performance analysis, or maritime data analytics,
- Familiarity with sustainable maritime regulations and performance frameworks (e.g., CII, EEOI).
- Strong understanding of shipping industry, including commercial and technical aspects;
- Understanding of marine engineering and vessel technical systems.
- Experience with fleet performance monitoring systems
- Proficient in MS office skills;
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is highly desirable;
- Working knowledge of Python, VBA, and other programming language is a advantage;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written);
- Analytical mindset with proactive, problem-solving approach;
- Detailed-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams;
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be self-directed, independently prioritize workloads, manage multiple deadlines, and take initiative.
