Description

Purpose of Position:
For our office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands we are looking for a experienced Accounting Processes Analyst who will join our dynamic team! This position is responsible for ensuring the completion of month end schedule in accordance with IFRS and aligned with Group accounting policy, compliance with the applicable internal controls in accordance with PCAOB requirements and work in process improvements. This position supports the different areas (such as Tax, Performance Management, Chemical and Feedstock Team) on a daily basis with accounting evaluation of new and ongoing operations. 
 

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Prepare and ensure the completion of month end closing.
  2. Preparing reconciliation and GL account analysis.
  3. Ensure compliance with the applicable international and local GAAP`s.
  4. Ensure compliance with the applicable Internal and SOX controls.
  5. Act as focal point for External auditors.
  6. Delivery of the information required by the external auditors (PBC) and internal areas. 
  7. Prepare work instruction, review procedures and update accounting policies.
  8. Support the leader in developing automatization and process improvement.
  9. Assist the other departments and evaluate accounting impacts for new projects. 
  10. Ensure the correct accounting test in new projects.

Technical / Management Knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business management, Economics or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of industries accounting experience or audit experience
  • Fluency in English, written and orally (Dutch is a plus)
  • Advanced skills in Excel (Power-bi, automate, apps is a plus)
  • Experience with ERP system (SAP is a plus)
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting International Accounting Standards
  • Excellent communication skills and service orientation
  • Analytical, hands-on, result driven and taking initiatives and ownership to drive changes.
  • Financial modeling and analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion;
